Child & Adolescent Counselling
Child & Adolescent Counselling
At ManoCare, we believe that every child and adolescent deserves to feel emotionally safe, understood, and empowered. Childhood and adolescence are complex phases—full of growth, questions, identity exploration, and emotional ups and downs. Our Child & Adolescent Counselling service is thoughtfully designed to support children and teens through these transitions with empathy, evidence-based care, and age-appropriate techniques.
Children often express emotional distress not through words, but through behaviour—tantrums, withdrawal, refusal to go to school, or falling grades. Teenagers, meanwhile, may struggle silently with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship troubles, or academic pressures. Our role is to help them decode these experiences and develop healthier ways of understanding and managing them.
Who Is This For?
This service is suitable for children and adolescents (ages 4 to 18) :

- Showing signs of low confidence, self-image concerns, or identity confusion
- Experiencing school-related stress, exam anxiety, or motivation issues
- Exhibiting behaviour such as aggression, withdrawal, lying, impulsivity, or defiance

Our Collaborative Approach
We see counselling as a team effort—the triangle of the child, parents, and therapist. From the first session, we involve parents not just as informants, but as partners in the healing process. This includes:
Initial case history and intake discussion with parents
Regular feedback and reviews (without breaching the child’s confidentiality)
Guidance on home strategies and parenting approaches
Optional family sessions, where relational dynamics need work
